Creating a List of High Cholesterol Foods

Cholesterol is basically like a fat like substance. It is present in the cell membrane. Human body needs some amount of cholesterol to make hormones, build up cell membrane, and digest the dietary fat and aid with other very significant bodily functions. However, when the level raises beyond certain limit it results in major health diseases. These days, millions of people are suffering due to high cholesterol level in the blood. Cholesterol travels in the blood in form of dissimilar particles containing both proteins and lipids. Proteins are also prominent as lipoproteins.

When a body circulated large amount of cholesterol, it results in the damage of artery wall particularly the coronary arteries which supply blood throughout the heart. The cholesterol ridden plague starts to accumulate in the blood vessel resulting in “arthrosclerosis. It is the major cause of heart attacks and coronary disease. Unfortunately, this is the main reason of premature death in the developed world like United States. But, you can lower the risk by taking into consideration proper diet and workouts routine. For this, you should be aware of the low cholesterol food items. Or in other words, food items less in saturated fat content.

It is important to completely avoid the food items that are high in saturated fat. Red meat and dairy products are rich in Tran’s fats.  To form a list of high cholesterol food items, begin with noting down the essential foods. It is supportive to assign a priority to your list. Begin the list with writing down your favorite food items and then accordingly cut down the list by removing high fat foods from it.  Remember, diet plays a very crucial role in maintaining the overall health condition. It protects against heart disease and diabetes.

Oatmeal, oat bran, and oats contain a unique kind of fiber prominent as beta guan. It is highly soluble in nature. One of the major advantages of consuming is that it lowers the LDL cholesterol level in the body. Soybean, green tea and barley are very much effective against hypercholesterolemia and heart disease. Furthermore, studies have revealed that consuming black tea or green tea may reduce concentration of cholesterol in the blood. It provides protection against the heart disease. Both oxidize the LDL in the blood stream.

Tea contains a major amount of folic acid. Soya also effectively increases HDL and prevents oxidation of LDL. The researchers have proved that including barley in the regular diet can provide unique health promoting effects mainly for heart. Its cholesterol fighting effects are promising. Barley and oats are a good source of “beta guan”. Beta guan is a water soluble form of fiber. The fiber binds bile salts and raises cholesterol removal from the body. It even increases the blood circulation of the body.
